A navigator to find the unit, up to $5,000 for the deposit and move-in, and support after move-in so you keep the keys.

Our team works encampments and hotspots across the county and stays your one contact into everything else. Residents can request outreach for a neighbor.

You’re heard
A conversation, not an intake. Water, a meal, a phone charge. You tell us what’s most urgent.
We check what you already have
Medi-Cal? An ID? A CES record? Most people already qualify for more than they know.
One worker is named
You get one person’s name and number. They stay your contact into every other door.
Tonight is handled
Shelter, a bed or a referral before you leave — then the longer plan starts tomorrow.
Do I need an ID or documents?
No. Come as you are. Getting an ID, a birth certificate and a Medi-Cal card is one of the first things we help with.
I’m not a youth. Can Good Seed still help?
Yes. The drop-in centers and youth shelters are for young people, but Recuperative Care serves adults 18–65, ICMS serves 18–80, and ECM, the housing Community Supports, ASCENT and the Mental Health Promoters serve adults of any age.
Does it cost anything?
No. Programs are funded by Medi-Cal, LA County and private supporters. Nobody is charged.
Can I refer someone else?
Yes — family, friends, neighbors and agencies all can. Use the H.E.R.S. outreach request, call us, or send a partner referral.
What if I’m on probation or parole?
ASCENT exists for exactly that. Probation and parole compliance, court navigation and expungement referrals are part of the plan, not a barrier to it.
